New York Fashion Week got well under way over the weekend with designers including Alexander Wang, DKNY, Diane Von Furstenberg and Victoria Beckham on the Autumn/Winter 2015 show schedule.
Diane Von Furstenberg's aptly named "Seduction" catwalk was exactly that: dark, sultry shades, lace, cut-out detailing, sheer panelling, slinky slip dresses and plunging necklines.
Kendall Jenner led the model fleet down the runway in a monochrome number with all the audacity it takes a woman to wear DVF. She's fearless and fabulous with it.
Meanwhile, Alexander Wang showcased an almost all-black line up (save for a flash of metallic, red plaid and ivory) of heavy, rebellious separates: leather jackets, cropped trouser, cut-out dresses and platform biker boots. Think street wear with serious edge.
And at Victoria Beckham the agenda was pure comfort - the kind of coats, polo necks and swishy pencil skirts you'd wear all winter long. Who said layers were everything?
Donna Karan championed her love of New York City with a DKNY collection made for "the young working woman, the ageless working woman..."
It was preppy but cool with pops of blue, red and purple across tailored jackets, polo neck dresses, pleated dresses and tapered trews.
