Beyonce Wows As Stars Join Up For Launch Of Jay Z's Tidal Service

Music stars were out in force on Monday night as Jay Z launched his new music streaming service, Tidal, in New York. However, all eyes were pretty much on his wife, Beyoncé. And here's why:

The singer looked incredible in her teeny lace-covered playsuit by Laquan Smith, which she paired with fishnet tights, peep-toe heels and red nails.

She also worked pretty side-swept hair as she posed for pics with the likes of Rihanna and Alicia Keys.

The service is being billed as the first artist-owned platform for music and video and was held at the Skylight Moynihan Station in New York City.

Unlike rivals Spotify, the subscription service will not have a free tier, meaning the musicians are set to make more money from it.

Jay Z is the mastermind behind the new system and purchased Swedish tech company Aspiro for $56 million (around £38 million) earlier this year to take control of Tidal and relaunch it.

A whole host of stars have signed up as joint owners of the music streaming service, including Madonna, Beyonce, Daft Punk, Arcade Fire, Rihannna, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Deadmau5, Calvin Harris, Coldplay and Alicia Keys.

Alicia Keys called the event "a graduation" and gave a motivating speech before each of the artists involved in the project, except DJ Calvin Harris and Coldplay's Chris Martin who were on a satellite link, signed the declaration in front of fans at the conference in New York, reports the Mirror.

According to the Daily Mail, she said, "So we come together before you on this day, 30 March, 2015, with one voice in unity in the hopes that today will be another one of those moments in time, a moment that will forever change the course of music history.

"For today we announce the launch of Tidal, the first ever artist-owned, global music and entertainment platform."

But back to the fashion: Seriously, how much are you loving Bey's playsuit?
