Evans Returns With Live TFI Special

Viewers will be treated to some 1990s nostalgia as a television hit returns to our screens for an anniversary special.

TFI Friday will see Jeremy Clarkson make his TV comeback as he appears for the first time since being dropped from Top Gear for assaulting a colleague.

The star will appear alongside TFI host Chris Evans, the man tipped to take his job on the hit motoring show.

The programme is a live special with guests including Evans's old sidekicks Danny Baker and Will Macdonald.

The show was a 90s favourite, though it regularly courted controversy - notably when guest Shaun Ryder swore and was subsequently banned from appearing on the channel again, though the Happy Mondays frontman is due to appear tonight.

Evans has since returned to radio and his breakfast show on BBC Radio 2 is the most popular in the country, pulling in almost 10 million listeners.

Evans sparked an online frenzy last weekend when he revealed he was making a "secret Top Gear film", but sources close to the show said he and Clarkson were filming the one-off episode of TFI.
