Teen Held For Boy's Cemetery Murder

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the "savage and brutal" murder of 14-year-old Jordan Watson, police said.

Jordan's body was discovered in the grounds of St John's Church cemetery in Carlisle, Cumbria. He died from died from multiple wounds to the head and neck caused by a sharp implement.

Detectives said the 18-year-old, from the city, was arrested on suspicion of Jordan's murder earlier today.

Detective Superintendent Andrew Slattery said: "Jordan has lost his life as a result of a savage and brutal attack which has shocked the officers working on the case."
