Man Charged With 13 Terror Offences

A 33-year-old man has been charged with 13 terrorism offences, including possession of a firearm.

Mustafa Abdullah is accused of possessing a firearm "in circumstances which give rise to a reasonable suspicion that his possession was for a purpose connected with the commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism", Scotland Yard said.

He is also charged with 12 counts of collecting records of information "of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism".

Abdullah, of Stockwell in south London, was due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court today.

Abdullah was charged following an investigation by officers from the Metropolitan Police Service's Counter Terrorism Command.
