Calvin Klein, Versace And More Summer Menswear Highlights From Milan Fashion Week 2015

Summer Menswear Highlights From Milan Fashion Week 2015

Calvin Klein, Versace and Dolce & Gabbana are challenging the notion that "you have to suffer for fashion" with their spring/summer 2016 menswear collections.

The initial shows of Milan's Men's Fashion Week revealed that comfort will be at the heart of the menswear trends we'll be coveting next year.

At the Versace show Donatella sent the models down a runway covered in sand wearing fine fabrics which hang close to the body. The Versace man wears a long tunic untucked beneath a suit, biker or bomber jacket.

Calvin Klein's men's creative director, Italo Zucchelli, said he wanted his spring/summer 2016 collection to capture "the spirit of ease", with relaxed white t-shirts and palm tree motifs offset by a just hint of bondage, with features such as detachable pockets.

Palm trees were also on display at the Dolce & Gabbana show, but this time they made up the backdrop as the models posed in a collection inspired by the Palazzina Cinese, a Chinese palace in Palermo. The D&G look is dominated by floral prints on loose sweatshirts and luxurious pyjama-style suits.
