Police are investigating the "suspicious" death of woman whose body was discovered in a lay-by.
She was found by a passing motorist on the Amersham Road, A413, in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, shortly after 8.30am, Thames Valley Police said.
The cause of death is unknown and detectives from the force's major crime unit are investigating.
The woman has yet to be identified and next of kin have not been informed, police said. A post-mortem examination is due to take place tomorrow.
Superintendent Yvette Hitch said: "Officers are at the scene working to establish the circumstances surrounding the death of woman. We are in the very early stages of our investigation.
