The former ‘Holby City’ actress was standing in for regular hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes alongside Ben Shephard on Friday’s (10 July) show, when some viewers called out her wardrobe choice, given that she was presenting a segment about the Tunisian beach attacks, in which 38 people were shot dead.
Many took to Twitter to question why no one had stepped in, to advise her against the poor fashion decision:
Jesus, This Morning. Given the subject matter maybe you should style Lisa Faulkner differently. pic.twitter.com/HSo3pKB1yS— Liam Murphy (@liamwaterloo) July 10, 2015

However, other viewers took the matter less seriously, making jokes about the dress, which actually featured a big poppy above Lisa’s chest:
Before the show, Lisa had taken to Twitter herself to say how excited she was to be presenting it:
During the programme, Lisa and Ben discussed the news that the Foreign Office is advising British tourists not to travel to Tunisia, warning that a "further terrorist attack is highly likely".
The government department said that officials have been working closely with Tunisian authorities to investigate the beach massacre in Sousse, which was carried out by 23-year-old student Seifeddine Rezgui.
