Eurotunnel Suspends Passenger Services Because Of 'Migrant Activity' In Calais

Passengers trying to cross the channel are facing disruption again as services have been suspended due to "migrant activity" in Calais.

Eurotunnel had earlier warned of delays but confirmed shortly before midnight that they had suspended services on both sides of the channel.

The operator tweeted: "Our Passenger service is suspended from both sides due the migrants activity around our French Terminal. We apologise for the delay.

"Please be assured we always work hard to maintain the highest levels of security at our Calais Terminal."

It added that French authorities are dealing with migrant activity at the French terminal.
