‘Coronation Street’ fans are in for a shock when murderer Rob Donovan makes a return to the soap.

Rob - played by Marc Baylis - was famously responsible for the death of Tina McIntyre last year, pushing Michelle Keegan’s character off some scaffolding before finishing her off with a lead pipe, when she threatened to expose his secrets.
However, just because he’s now behind bars doesn't mean that’s going to stop Rob from calling the shots, and he’s about to shake things up for a number of Weatherfield residents, when they receive visitors’ requests from him in jail.

Speaking about his upcoming ‘Corrie’ comeback, Marc claims: "I can’t wait to play Rob again and see what he has up his sleeve, one thing is certain - prison won’t stop Rob from affecting lives on the street."
His return spells trouble for one resident in particular, with bad news thought to be on the horizon for his sister, Carla Connor.
Rob is apparently about to spill a family secret, which will have serious repercussions for the factory owner.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Alison King, who plays Carla, was planning to bow out of the ITV soap for a while, after almost a decade on the cobbles.
A ‘Corrie’ spokesperson confirmed that Alison would be taking “a sabbatical from the show for creative reasons”.
