A British national held hostage in Yemen has been freed by United Arab Emirates forces, Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said.
The Briton, whose identity has not been revealed, was released in a "military intelligence" operation, he said.
Mr Hammond, who is in the Iranian capital Tehran, said: "I'm pleased to confirm that a British hostage held in Yemen has been extracted by UAE forces in a military intelligence operation.
