Music fans descended on Reading Festival in their thousands over the weekend, enjoying sets from the likes of The Libertines, Royal Blood and Alt-J.
Carl Barat and Pete Doherty’s band were in charge of closing proceedings on Sunday, Mumford And Sons took the lead on Friday, followed by rock legends Metallica, who took to the mainstage on Saturday night.
Elsewhere on the impressive line-up were acts including Jamie T, festival favourites The Cribs, and Jamie xx, whose debut album ‘In Colour’ was a huge hit earlier this year.
Other highlights included Slaves’ early afternoon gig on the NME stage, Drenge kicking things off on Friday, and a surprise set from Foals, to celebrate the release of ‘What Went Down’.
