Cristiano Ronaldo Becomes Real Madrid's 'Top Goal Scorer'

Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated his footballing achievements in a special ceremony dedicated to him today attended by his family and teammates.

The Real Madrid forward received a trophy from the club's president Florentino Perez to celebrate his success in surpassing 500 career goals and leveling Bernabeu legend Raul's record 323 goals after scoring his second goal against Malmo.

“You are already a legend: 324 goals in 308 matches is something unrepeatable", said Florentino Pérez. Which in the eyes of the club, Ronaldo himself and Spanish newspaper Marca has made him Real Madrid's all time leading goal scorer beating Rauls record.

The confusion around the 324th goal goes back to a deflected strike that hit teammate Pepe to go in and score against Real Sociedad back in 2010
