The England rugby team crashed out of their own World Cup in the group stages on Saturday. The national team was mauled by Australia 33-13 in a stunning display at Twickenham, with fly-half Bernard Foley scoring two converted tries and kicking four penalties to dump the hosts out of the tournament.
Australia will now progress to the quarter-finals along with Wales. In the history of the tournament, no host nation has gone out in the group stages. It is also the first time the England rugby team has failed to go beyond the opening stage, a disgrace usually reserved for the national football team. For shame...
