Glastonbury Festival 2016 Tickets Sell Out In 32 Minutes

Tickets for next year's Glastonbury Festival have sold out in just over half an hour.

Thousands of music fans were left disappointed after the £228 tickets were snapped up in just 32 minutes.

Emily Eavis, daughter of Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis and co-organiser of the festival, tweeted: "Tickets have now sold out.Thank you to everyone for your incredible support and sorry to those who missed out. Bring on Glastonbury 2016!"

The tickets went on sale at 9am and just over half-an-hour later See tickets, the company selling the sought-after passes, sent a message on Twitter announcing they were sold out.

See Tickets added: "Sorry to those who missed out. @GlastoFest will have news of resales in the Spring."

The 120,000 tickets were bought up even before the festival line-up has been announced, but there are rumours Adele and Coldplay could headline next year.

Foo Fighters, who had to drop out of headlining this year because front man Dave Grohl broke his leg, are also favourites to headline at odds of 6/1 with William Hill.

Mr Eavis has previously said he has already booked headliners for the next two years.
