Adele To Join Graham Norton For TV Special

Adele will join Graham Norton for a world-exclusive TV special, performing classic tracks and songs from her new album 25.

The hour-long show, entitled Adele At The BBC, will be the Hello singer's first television performance since the 2013 Oscars when she performed James Bond theme tune Skyfall, winner of Best Original Song.

Adele said: "I can't wait for the show. The BBC has been wonderful to me over the years and Graham and I get on great so it's going to be a laugh."

The recording, taking place on November 2, will make the audience some of the first to hear her new tracks, performed with a live band, before 25 is officially released on November 20.

Adele will also sit down with Norton to chat about her career and life to date in the one-off, hour-long show, hosted by BBC music and being shown on BBC One.

Norton said: "This is the music event of the year and I'm thrilled to be part of bringing it to BBC One. This opportunity to spend an hour with Adele, her music and her stories is a truly rare treat. If I wasn't hosting this special I'd be sat at home watching it."

The album 25 is Adele's third and is expected to replicate the success of her previous ones 19 and 21, which alone sold more than 30 million globally. Lead track Hello is already on course to be number one this week and the fastest-selling single of the year.

The BBC have a long history with Adele, airing the first ever play of her hits Daydreamer and Hometown Glory. She made her debut television performance on BBC Two in 2007, performing Daydreamer on Later With Jools Holland.

Tickets will be available via an audience ballot. Registration is open until midnight on Wednesday October 28 at bbc.co.uk/music.
