A murder investigation has been launched after a man who was attacked later died.
Scotland Yard said 81-year-old Amirali Manji, who was assaulted on November 29, died on December 3.
A post-mortem examination found the cause of death to be head injuries.
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service to reports of an assault at an address in Kingshill Drive, Harrow.
They found Mr Manji suffering from critical injuries. He was taken to a north London hospital where he died.
Mohsin Manji, 44, of Kingshill Drive, Harrow was charged on November 30 with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and appeared at Hendon Magistrates' Court the same day. He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on January 29.
