The UK's biggest ever Lotto jackpot has gone unclaimed, meaning an estimated £57.8 million will have to be won or shared out on Saturday.
The combination of winning numbers 57, 30, 50, 40, 08, 54 would have resulted in a prize of £50.4 million.
But the highest amount won was £74,900 by two lucky tickets which matched five main numbers and the bonus ball, which was 13.
Ticket sales soared ahead of Wednesday's draw, with the promise of the highest ever jackpot after 13 roll-overs proving extra tempting for thousands of people.
But new regulations stipulate the jackpot has to be won in the first draw after it reaches £50 million, meaning that if no players match all six numbers the prize will be shared between winners in the next tier where there is at least one winner, most likely those who have just five main numbers and the bonus ball.
A National Lottery spokesman said: "We now have a record breaking Lotto jackpot up for grabs this Saturday and it has to be won this weekend no matter what.
"If one person banks Saturday's estimated £57.8m jackpot, they will be the biggest Lotto jackpot winner ever created in the UK. If none of our players match all six numbers on Saturday night, then the colossal jackpot prize will be shared among the winners in the next winning prize tier, potentially creating several multi-millionaires.
"The National Lottery is all about making millionaires and this weekend is going to be a bumper one whichever way you look at it. We urge players not to leave it until the last minute to purchase a ticket for Saturday's draw. And don't forget that each and every ticket sold helps raise more money for Good Cause projects, totalling up to more than £34m every single week."
In addition to the jackpot, National Lottery Camelot will make one person a millionaire with its Millionaire Raffle, which has created 67 millionaires since October last year. Twenty people are also guaranteed to win £20,000 each.
Wednesday'ss National Lottery Lotto winning numbers were 57, 30, 50, 40, 08, 54. The Bonus Ball was 13 and the jackpot was £50.4 million. However no one matched all six numbers.
Two tickets matched five numbers and the bonus ball and won £74,900 each. There were 128 tickets that matched five of the six winning numbers and won £1,231 each.
There were 7,583 tickets that matched four numbers and won £134. There were 179,547 that matched three and won £25. There were 1,822,860 tickets with two of the six numbers, which wins a Free Lotto Lucky Dip.
The Thunderball winning numbers are 34, 28, 32, 08, 04. The Thunderball is 09.
