After weeks of speculation, the couple revealed they were planning to tie the knot in a traditional way, with an announcement in the Daily Telegraph.
The short announcement reads: “The engagement is announced between Joshua, son of the late Dominic Sasse and of Mary Heale (née Macauley), of Herefordshire, and Kylie, eldest daughter of Ronald and Carol Minogue, of Melbourne, Australia.”
Rumours have been rife that the ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ singer was getting hitched ever since she was photographed sporting an impressive diamond on her engagement finger earlier this year.
On Friday, things kicked up a notch, when it was reported that Joshua had been overheard casually referring to Kylie as his “fiancée” at an event.
The pair met last year on the set of the musical TV comedy ‘Galavant’, which Joshua stars in, where she performed the tear-jerking romantic ode, ‘Off With His Shirt’.
They’re thought to have been loved up since September, making several public appearances together, with Joshua even starring in the video for her festive single, ‘Every Day’s Like Christmas’.
He was also a surprise guest when she was interviewed on the BBC Radio 4 series ‘Desert Island Discs’, reading a romantic poem written by his late father, which she eventually chose as the one track she would save.
Congrats to the happy couple!
