The One Direction star has paid a
sickening sweet tribute to his new lover on Instagram, as he marked International Women’s Day on Tuesday (8 March).
Honouring his “favourite woman in the world”, he shared a picture of Cheryl in a red jumper taken from her calendar shoot with his 9.1m followers.
“Happy #internationalwomensday to my favourite woman in the world,” he wrote along with some kissing emjois.
“Hope I make you as happy as u make me X.”
Moments after sharing the Instagram post, Liam added on Twitter: “Wow the Internet is a dark place these days.”
Asked if that was why he hardly uses the social media site anymore, he told one fan: “Yeah I find pretty much anything i say is held against me kinda takes the fun out of it.”
Cheryl and Liam are yet to speak to the press about their romance, instead using Instagram to tease fans about the details.
He shared a picture of the pair of them together last week, alongside a winky face, while Cheryl also posted a picture with three of her “mystery men” she has been linked to in recent months.
Liam’s ex-girlfriend Sophia Smith recently branded their relationship “weird”, revealing that she’d known about it for some time, having split from the singer last November.
