Adele will go head-to-head with Beyonce at the MTV Video Music Awards as the singers battle it out for the top prizes.
The British singer received a video of the year nomination for her smash-hit single Hello, while Beyonce was nominated for her Black Lives Matter-themed video Formation.
The women will compete against Drake's video Hotline Bling, Justin Bieber's Sorry and Kayne West's controversial video Famous, which features nude waxworks of himself, his wife Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift.
The video, which also features models of Bill Cosby, Donald Trump, Rihanna and Chris Brown, among other celebrities, accompanies the song that is the subject of the recent public feud between Swift and West.
Adele and Beyonce received the most nominations over all, with Adele picking up eight and Beyonce 11.
Both women will also compete for the best female video prize, with Adele nominated for Hello and Beyonce nominated for Hold Up.
They are joined in the category by Sia for Cheap Thrills, Ariana Grande for Into You and Rihanna ft Drake for Work.
West and Drake are also nominated in the best male video category, where they are joined by Bryson Tiller for Don't, Calvin Harris ft Rihanna for This Is What You Came For and The Weeknd for Can't Feel My Face.
The MTV VMAs will take place on August 28 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
