Seven out of 10 industrial disputes have been resolved with the help of the conciliation service Acas, new figures show.
Chief conciliator David Prince said the figures, from a survey of more than 340 cases, showed the importance of early intervention in workplace conflict.
"These findings demonstrate how our experienced network of conciliators continue to play a vital role in resolving industrial disputes quickly to help Britain's workplaces stay productive," he said.

He added that the Brazilian government had asked Acas for advice learned from industrial relations at the London 2012 Olympics.
"We were very happy to help and hope that Rio 2016 remains dispute-free too."
