Murder Charge After Man Fatally Stabbed Leaving Work

A 23-year-old has been charged with murder after a man was fatally stabbed as he left work.

Tobi Animashaun, 25, died in hospital on Monday after an attack in Anchor and Hope Lane, Greenwich, south-east London, the previous evening.

Jeremiah Lloyd Johnson, of Walnut Road, east London, will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Monday charged with murder, Scotland Yard said.

He was charged on Sunday following his arrest on Friday, and a second man, aged 22, has been bailed to a date in late October.

Mr Animashaun was leaving work through a security gate when he was attacked by a group of men, police said.

He was stabbed in the chest and abdomen, post-mortem examination results showed.

The Met said inquiries by the Homicide and Major Crime Command continue.
