Man Convicted Of Murder Bid And Wounding Over Supermarket Car Park Knife Rampage

A pensioner has been found guilty of attempted murder and two counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after carrying out a stabbing spree in a supermarket car park.

Ethem Orhon was convicted by jurors at Kingston Crown Court, who took four hours and 38 minutes to reach unanimous verdicts.

They are now considering one more attempted murder charge.

Orhon, 67, said the random attacks near his home in Hampton, west London, on May 20 had been triggered after he had felt humiliated by police who had arrested him the previous day for possession of another knife.
