Plymouth Railway Stabbing: Man Charged With Murder

A 28-year-old man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing on a railway station concourse.

The victim, Wayne Fenton, was found seriously injured at Plymouth station on Tuesday morning.

Paramedics tended to the 49-year-old and he was rushed to Derriford Hospital, but died of his injuries, British Transport Police said.

South Western Ambulance Service said medics treated two men at the scene, one with minor injuries and another with head and shoulder injuries.

Jamie Skinner, of Bodmin Road, Plymouth, was charged on Wednesday evening and is due before magistrates in Plymouth on Thursday morning, police said.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Langley of British Transport Police said: "Tuesday's news would have come as a devastating shock for this family.

"My thoughts are with them at this stage and we have specially trained officers supporting them as they come to terms with this news."
