Could this be the greatest classroom April Fools prank ever? So far, 13 million viewers on YouTube seem to think so.

It involves a lecturer at Aquinas College in Michigan in the US, who had been forcing students to broadcast any calls that they received on speakerphone for his whole class to hear.

Obviously a little annoyed by this disciplinarian tactic, one girl decided to get her own back on the most appropriate day of the year – by pretending to take a call from a pregnancy service, who told her over the phone that she was expecting.

Mortified, the teacher tried to backtrack, but the girl kept on talking to her 'caller'.

When the conversation ended, she said: "I've already decided what I'll name the baby.

"Her first name will be April and her middle name... Fools."

Understandably, the teacher blushed brighter than a beacon as the class erupted into laughter!
