MWC 2014 -- Europe's largest Spring tech show - has only just kicked off. And several big companies - including Samsung - are yet to show off their devices at this year's event.

Even so we've already seen a number of great new products from the likes of Sony, Nokia, Huawei and LG, and it's shaping up to be a vintage year.

They include a stand-out flagship smartphone from Sony - the Xperia Z2 - and a new push into Android devices, though aimed at the developing world, for Nokia (and by association Microsoft).

Samsung has announced the next versions of its Gear smartwatches, slated for an April release. More looks set to come on this, but for now we've heard it's a lighter, thinner, more colourful version of the preview generation device.
