Bread Alternatives: How To Replace Carb-Heavy Foods With Cauliflower

How To Make A Cheese Toastie With Cauliflower (And No Bread)
|

If you're trying to cut down on the amount of bread and pasta you're eating, cauliflower can be a great low-carb alternative.

You can even make a cheese toastie without going anywhere near bread.

Don't believe us? Read on.

Just grate some steamed cauliflower into a food processor, blitz it, then squeeze out any moisture from the mixture using a clean tea towel or kitchen paper.

Put the mixture in a bowl and add one egg and some mozzarella. Once fully combined, mould the mixture into squares.

Place the squares on a baking sheet and cook in the oven until golden.

Assemble your toastie and chow down.

You can also use cauliflower to make rice, tater tots (fried potatoes), and macaroni and cheese. Check out the video above for full instructions.
