If you’re looking for a true experience of old English grandeur and service you’ll find it here, particularly in the Beaufort Dining Room. Staff, at a 3 to 2 ratio, are ridiculously attentive and helpful. The attention to detail is such that at times it feels, for me, it feels a little too ‘grand’. But then I am an Essex girl…

The Treatment(04 of05)

The Treatment: The Express Discovery Prescription Facial starts with an intensive lifestyle consultation to determine which treatment is needed. There’s a choice between Hydration: for dry and dehydrated skin, Softness: to restore balance to sensitive skin, Purity: to bring clarity to oily and combination skin, or an Anti-ageing: ‘youth restoring’ treatment. I was feeling pretty de-hydrated at the time so opted for Hydration. A deep cleanse and exfoliation are followed by an intense BABOR re-hydrating moisture surge, and a ‘lifting’ facial massage. The treatment finishes with a hydrating eye mask and massage.Other treatments include: Pre-natal Nourishing Body Treatment, which begins with a relaxing back massage. An intensive repair body cream is then applied to your stomach – to soften and condition the skin, and help prevent stretch marks - and also to your legs, to increase the circulation and to help drain away any fluid retention. The treatment also includes a facial cleanse and massage.
