If you're a family who normally relies on four wheels to do the school run, it's time to hang up the car keys and get your walking shoes on for national Walk to School Week.

To celebrate the annual event, which runs from 16th-20th May, family favourite Marks and Spencer have designed a special i-spy downloadable game to help your little one enjoy the walk to school, and learn a few things along the way to boot.

You can download the game, which asks children to tick off different things they see on their walk, like traffic lights, a bus and dogs, for free.

The items are listed alphabetically, which is great for giving your little one a helping hand with learning their A-Z, and they (and you, as we're sure you'll be roped in too...) can see their score at the end, finding out if they're a 'walk to school frog' or 'king/queen school walker'.

Will you be getting involved in Walk to School Week? Share your pavement pounding tales below, and if you're deliberating whether or not to let an older child walk to school alone, our agony aunt has advice in her weekly column.
