This five star hotel has accommodated kings and celebrities alike, renowned as one of France’s great old hotels and supremely located between Place de la Concorde and the Musée du Louvre in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. Operating since 1835, Le Meurice has earned the nickname “Hotel of Kings” from the array of aristocracy residing here. One of the most eccentric guests was surrealist painter Salvador Dalí, who spent at least one month per year in the Royal Suite, requesting items such as a horse and a herd of sheep. More recently, Le Meurice has been favoured by Beyoncé, who has stayed in the spacious and opulent suites on several occasions. The most notable guest during this period was Bob Dylan, who stayed with his folk singer girlfriend Joan Baez.
