And yes, it's "Tash" who's behind those head-turning outfits recently worn by the duchess. Think that blue Jenny Packham gown and the slinky black Temperley London dress.

"Initially Kate was a reluctant fashion icon, but now she enjoys it," an insider told Vanity Fair. "Tash helps source some of the clothes. She shops a lot for Kate online, and calls in hundreds of dresses for Kate to try on.

"She has persuaded Kate to take some more risks," the source added. "The hemlines are shorter and Kate's really pushing the boat out in the fashion stakes."

Kate, who is now thought to be around 15-weeks pregnant with her second baby, is clearly experimenting with new looks from her favourite designers. Who said the 32-year-old royal can't do sexy, sophisticated, classy and fashion-forward all at once?

The duchess makes being in the public eye look a total breeze, but can you imagine how long it takes to find the perfect all-elegant outfit ahead of a royal appointment?

No wonder Kate has Tash on side to call in everything from the dresses to the shoes, the coats and the clutches. As for opting for something a little more risqué (to flaunt those amazing pins), why not?
