That Girls girl, Lena Dunham, is on the cover of US Vogue magazine's February issue and it's, er, alright.

The 27-year-old American actress is a huge deal thanks to her very awesome HBO series and has more-than earned her stripes in film-making, acting, writing and being an all-round heroine.

In the shoot photographed by Annie Leibovitz, Lena wears a kooky-cool red and white polka dot shirt and the close-up reveals a smoky eye and subtle pink lip.

Will this cover get the same treatment as Elle's recent one of Mindy Kaling (long story short: critics claim the mag didn't use a full-length shot of the actress because she's not skinny)? Now, that will be interesting.

In the mag, Lena talks Girls, guys (specifically, her boyfriend Jack Antonoff), her debut book which she describes as "a slightly kaleidoscopic version of a memoir" and fashion.

Yes, Lena is a lady who loves her fashion. She reels of a long line to designer favourites in her interview: "I've always loved Comme des Garçons; I've always loved Yohji Yamamoto.

"I'm into Charlotte Olympia flats. I really love a Prada bag because they always have one weird detail that you didn't think about. I always wear J Brand jeans because the waist is high... a low-cut jean is a problematic thing for me."

The best bit? Besides that moment she sat next to actual David Beckham for L.A.'s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund show, Zac Posen used to babysit for her. According to Vogue he actually designed her high school–graduation dress. Jealous much?
