Meet The Guy Who Wore A Heart Monitor To Propose

Popping the question (whether your a man or a woman) is pretty nerve-wracking.

And to prove it, Redditor Sesipikai decided to wear a heart monitor to propose to his girlfriend of three years on a recent trip to Rome to find out how much he was affected by nerves.

The 28-year-old techy tracked his heart rate throughout day, noting down everything that happened before during and after the proposal to get a clear idea of just how much his bpm (beats per minute) increased.

Here's a look at the chart that he posted on Reddit saying, "Wore a heart rate belt during my trip to Rome. Export data to xml file. Created a graph using Ms Excel."

The results reveal that in those moments just before proposing, his heart rate spikes massively to about 125 bpm - more than double his resting heart rate of 60 bpm. It was after having said the actual words and getting the answer he was hoping for that Sesipikai calmed down.

So, just as we thought. Getting down on one knee is likely to get the old ticker racing.
