The 14-year-old was found in Wigan on Wednesday evening, Cheshire Police said.

"We will continue to work with our partners to support Jade and her family over the coming days.

"I would like to take this as an opportunity to say a huge thank you to the media and to the public for all of the information and support that you have provided, which has proved vital in our investigation to locate Jade."

Jade's family sat alongside police to make an emotional plea for more information during a press conference on Tuesday.

Her sister Stephanie said: "She knows us, she knows we are not going to shout at her, ground her or anything like that. I just want to know that she's okay."
