Did someone say pool party? At the ACE Hotel they more than likely did. Hosting an ambiance where the Beach Boys would blend in, ACE is the epitome of ‘70s retro. Open fire places, beach hut style rooms and a bingo announcer (appropriately named Linda Fabulous) all come as standard. Mere footsteps and you’ll be wandering down town Palm Springs, and with the Coachella Valley around the corner it’s a haven for festival goers. White walls and linen decorate your room along with occasional pop art paintings and slat walls give it that effortless each vibe living, and if you have a pet then bring it along, rooms with patios welcome your pooch. The ACE has that cheeky laidback attitude that will persuade you to stay just one more night.

Korakia Pensione is home to 28 exotic inspired suites which rest at the base of Mt. San Jacinto. Situated on the edge of Palm Springs it brings seclusion to a whole new level, and we mean it when we say it’s a sanctuary of a place to rest your head. Your room presents bi-folding doors which let in the warmth of the Californian sunshine as well and endless light. Grab your yoga matt and hit the deck for a spot of early morning Zen before retreating to your patio for a privately prepared breakfast. Throughout all the suites Korakia exudes an exotic Moroccan feel, from the stone floors and white wash walls to intricate detailing in the fixtures. It’s one of the calmest, most serene places we’ve had the pleasure of staying at.
Riviera Resort and Spa(03 of04)

Hole up in a private poolside cabana like Frank Sinatra and Elvis once did. We say this, because the Riviera (or Riv as it’s lovingly called) used to be their old stomping ground. Home to the rich and famous, the Riv is packed full of them as it’s the hot spot to see and be seen in Palm Springs. Your room provides mountain, pool or garden views, but it’s the beds that they are most famed for. The Riviera has a signature slumber – 300 thread count linens layered between pillow top mattresses, featherbed, down-filled duvet and down-filled pillows. We won’t lie; it’s certainly a struggle to get out of.
