Videos of kids who refuse to back down from a fib, even when caught in the act, are always good for a laugh. This is our new favourite, showing a little girl whose insistence that she didn't get into the lipstick is undermined slightly by her face.

Her dad, comedy vlogger Jack Vale, gives the red-handed (and mouthed) culprit, four-year-old Jasmine, a chance to come clean, asking her if she got into the lipstick despite the abundant evidence smeared over her lips.

She might have a red face, but it's certainly not from embarrassment. Cool as a cucumber, Jasmine casually fires back a confident: "Nope!" before fleeing for the gate.

Luckily, her mum is there to head her off at the pass and bring her back for further questioning. "I want you to look in my eyes and tell me," dad persists, as astonished by his toddler's willingness to resort to shameless fibbing as thousands of parents have been before.

When she continues to stick to her version of events, dad is forced to call on another witness - Jasmine's brother, Jackson, who like most brothers is more than willing to rat his sister out.

With her brother turned against her, Jasmine finally cracks under the pressure and admits "Yep, I did!", without any apparent trace of remorse.

Jack congratulates his daughter for coming clean. "Good girl, thank you for being honest," he says, to which she gives the oh-so-fitting reply: "What does honest mean?"
