Samantha is a supporter of the British Fashion Council and is the London Fashion Week ambassador.
The Daily Mail source added: 'She takes her role as ambassador very seriously so eyebrows have been raised by her apparent U-turn.'
A spokesperson for Samantha said: 'She is definitely wearing a British designer, we can't confirm or deny who yet.'
