When two dedicated gamers discovered they were soon to become parents, they decided to use their shared love of consoles (and Yoda) as inspiration for a creative pregnancy announcement.

Travis and Rachel Vocino's first baby is due in July and the excited parents-to-be decided they wanted to do something special to announce the news to their friends and fellow gamers.

Travis told The Huffington Post that Rachel calls time they spend playing games together 'family bonding time'. So it seemed apt that their shared passion for computer games should feature in their announcement.

"Working together to conquer objectives has been a great way to interact and relieve stress," Travis added, - something they may need to do more of once the baby arrives!

Travis runs a gaming community called Strats.co where he posted the announcement, much to the delight of his fellow gamers.

He also shared the photo on Reddit, where the photo was quickly viewed more than 33,000 times.

"Very creative if not a bit ironic, since it'll be three years before you have a free moment to play another video game," wrote one commenter.

Another pointed out that a whole new world of toys opens up to a gamer who becomes a parent.

"Who needs video games. My son is 1 and half and he loves playing with mega blocks," they wrote.
