W Magazine's Golden Globes brunch at A.O.C. in Los Angeles was unabashedly just for bonafide It Girls.

The idea of someone being "It" is a tricky one to get your head round. How long does "It" last? And how do you know if you've got "It"? Luckily W has got "It" covered and the mag's party at the weekend told us exactly who's cool right now.

OK, this German gal in LA is hardly new on the scene but is kind of queen of the It Girls. The 37 year-old actress went for a top-to-toe Chanel ensemble complete with the Chanel Lego clutch for the W party.

At the tender young age of 17, Hailee has already proved she's pretty unstoppable. She was the face of Miu Miu at 14 years-old and nominated for both the Best Supporting Actress BAFTA and Oscar for her role in True Grit.

Did we mention that she also played Juliet Capulet in a 2013 adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet? Hailee's next flick? Barely Lethal, a comedy about a teen assassin. As for her outfit on Saturday? Think pretty Prada, think black and plum colour-blocking, think Christian Louboutins.

Greta Gerwig

The 30 year-old American actress wore a white plunging collarless shirt and green ruffle skirt by Marni to brunch with W but it was the floral print Dolce & Gabbana heels that made us see exactly why all the girls loves her style.

Greta is best known for the title role in Frances Ha, which she also co-wrote with her boyfriend and co-star writer-director Noah Baumbach (they've been dating since 2011).

As far as her 2014 plans go, she's just been cast as the lead in Maggie's Plan, the new film by Rebecca Miller.

Mickey Sumner

AKA the oldest daughter of the musician Sting (Gordon Sumner) and Trudie Styler starred in the fabulous Frances Ha alongside onscreen best friend Greta Gerwig.

The 29 year-old actress was born and raised in England but studied art at Parsons School of Design in New York City. She's done broadway, she's done film, she's got rockstar blood and is set to take on a mega role in the new AMC series Low Winter Sun. Undoubtedly an It Girl. Her current favourite thing? LA-based band called MYPET.

Amy Seimetz

This American writer, producer, director, editor AND actress is a lady who does it all (clearly). She also makes a denim jacket and LBD combo look flawless.

Not only has she appeared in 20 films in the past three years (including Sun Don't Shine and Upstream Colour) but she made a regular appearance on AMC's The Killing and HBO's Family Tree. If you want to be best friends with Amy, get yourself a copy of It's a Wonderful Life - it's her favourite film.
