Ben and his wife Jildou are the founders of
Blood Foundation, a social enterprise and NGO focusing on Burma issues, interfaith projects, spiritual development programs and education for refugees along the Thai-Burma border.
In 2008 Ben founded
Monk for a Month, a unique cultural exchange program allowing foreigners full immersion into a local Buddhist experience This now operates along the Tibet-India border. In 2010
Muslim for a Month was added followed by
Sufi for a Month and there are plans for Christian and Sikh immersion programs.
