Local Councillor in Islington and national spokesperson on Local Transport for the Green Party

Caroline Russell, a former artist and also a trained civil engineer, is a walking and cycling campaigner based in London specialising in advocacy on behalf of pedestrians and more people-friendly streets. She has campaigned successfully for 20mph limits on main roads in Islington, making the case on the grounds of health equality, road danger reduction and supporting local economies.

She works part-time for the national walking charity Living Streets and represents them on the Transport for London Junction Review and on the Canal and River Trust Alternative Routes Steering Group.
