Emma Hardy MP

Labour Member of Parliament for Hull West and Hessle

Emma Hardy has been the MP for Hull West and Hessle since the 8th June 2017. She is currently a member of the Education Select Committee and Parliamentary Private Secretary to Keir Starmer and the Labour Brexit team. Prior to being elected to Parliament, Emma was a primary school teacher, an organiser for the National Union of Teachers and the Deputy General Secretary of the Socialist Educational Association. In Parliament, she has campaigned on education matters such as the importance of Oracy in early years education, against the detrimental effect of some schools behaviour policies against students with Autism and for putting the education of the child front and centre in within our education system.
