Imran Amed started writing The Business of Fashion from his sofa in London in January 2007. Today it has become an industry-wide must read for fashion executives, creatives, entrepreneurs and students in over 170 countries around the world.

Imran is managing director of Amed & Company, a boutique strategic advisory firm, serving board level executives at international luxury and fashion brands on creative, business and digital strategies.

Imran is an Associate Lecturer at London’s Central St Martins College of Art & Design, teaching the first ever business marketing course to undergraduates.

Imran sits on the Digital Committee of the British Fashion Council and the Board of Dasra, India’s leading strategic philanthropy foundation. Previously, he was a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.Com from McGill University.

In 2011, Imran was named as both one of the 100 Most Influential Men in Britain by British GQ and the 50 Most Influential Global Indians by Indian GQ.
