Jeremy Horner

Loving London but heart in East Africa. Cares about justice and eradicating extreme poverty and hunger.

Jeremy began his career in 1991 and became a Chartered Civil Engineer specialising in Water & Sanitation. He went on to join the UK Department for International Development as an Associate Professional Officer where we worked in London and then the UK Embassy based in Kazakhstan, providing oversight for the grant programme, consultants and DfID visitors to country. In addition he provided monthly oversight to UK consultants implementing Kyrgyz water resources programmes.

Jeremy joined emerge poverty free as Assistant Director 10 years ago before assuming the role of CEO in 2013. He leads the London office, overseeing the administration, finance, fundraising and marketing, and is ultimately responsible for the delivery of the cash grants programme to overseas partners. Jeremy works with the Trustees to drive forward emerge poverty free's strategic development and implement the organisational goals. emerge poverty free has 20 years of experience in international development, emergency relief and community transformation.
