Jutta Tobias Mortlock

Psychologist, researcher, teacher, activist, Swing dancer

Jutta is a social psychologist dedicated to generating positive behaviour change and capacity building, although these things are harder to do than to talk and write about. Her current research and outreach focus is on working out how to enable people to benefit sustainably from mindfulness training and other awareness-raising initiatives. She teaches and advises on workplace mindfulness and leadership, e.g. in the UK House of Commons, Cabinet Office, and the Department of Health. She also serves as an expert advisor to The Mindfulness Initiative, a policy institute with bipartisan sponsorship from the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Mindfulness in the UK Parliament. Jutta's work has been published in a number of academic journals and is featured widely including in the Financial Times, The Sunday Times, on the BBC World Service, and in the Swiss TV documentary “The Mindful Revolution”. Jutta also holds a psychotherapeutic counselling qualification from the University of Cambridge.
