Kelley Temple

National Women’s Officer at the National Union of Students

Kelley has been the NUS Scotland Women’s Officer for the past two years and has successfully led campaigns on funding for student parents, improving access to education and support for student carers, forcing Bill Aitken MSP out of parliament for rape victim blaming, zero tolerance to sexual harassment and successfully including 40% quotas for women on University Courts. Kelley has worked with the European Students Union on their gender mainstreaming strategy and has attended Reclaim the Night marches and anti cuts demos around the country, challenging the disproportionate impact the cuts have on women. Before being elected as an NUS Officer, Kelley was the Women’s Officer and Vice President of the University of Strathclyde Students’ Association and was also on the NUS Scotland Women’s Committee.
