Lori Tipton is a mother, author, playwright, public speaker, and advocate for the use of psychedelics in the field of mental health. In 2018 she was the first person in New Orleans, Louisiana to take part in an FDA-approved clinical trial of MDMA (also known as Ecstasy) to treat PTSD. She is currently completing a book which chronicles her life before, during and after treatment. Lori has been interviewed by NPR, CBC and ABC news among others. She currently serves as Executive Director of the Psychedelic Society of New Orleans where she happily lives and co-parents her son with his three fathers.
