Louis Shaffer graduated from UC Berkeley in 1985 with a BS in Engineering Physics. He spent several years working in the US, Asia and Europe in Semiconductor Capital Equipment business where he held progressively higher positions in engineering, service, sales, and marketing. Louis has been living and working in Europe since 1998 and in Renewable and Distributed Energy since 2003. He is currently working for Eaton in the Electrical division as the Distributed Energy Segment Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa with a strong focus on supporting the Power Africa initiative. Louis has been married for over 20 years and has a daughter aged 18.
