Nauman Khalid

Lecturer, writer and broadcaster

Nauman Khalid has taught postcolonial literature and theory at Manchester Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom and is currently working as a freelance writer and broadcaster.

He has written for The Guardian, The Manchester Evening News, The Big Issue in the North, the Nepalese magazine of politics and culture Himal, the literary journal Wasafiri and has presented on BBC radio.

Nauman was born in Lahore, Pakistan and has lived in Uganda and the United Arab Emirates. He currently divides his time between London, Manchester and Pakistan.

His areas of interest and expertise include South Asian literature in English, the history of the British Empire, Art from the subcontinent and South Africa, world cinema and Bollywood.
